COVID-19 Patient Safety Message
We are happy to announce the state of Minnesota is allowing us to return to more regular patient care! While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.
Beginning on May 18th, Platt Dentistry will be reopening for your dental needs.
A detailed and prioritized scheduling process is starting right away. If you had an appointment between March 17 and May 15th, we will be contacting you soon to reschedule. We will also be calling high risk patients with appointments after May 18th to reschedule. If you called us during the closure with a dental need, we will be calling you to schedule as well.
Thank you for your patience as we get through all this together.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
While we have always taken necessary precautions for patient and staff safety, society’s changing landscape is altering the way we schedule and see patients. Please be patient with us as we navigate this brave new world!
Things will be different when you arrive for your next appointment. Please review all of the information below carefully. It will help you understand and prepare for what’s different.
-
We will communicate with you prior to your appointment with some health screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions when you are in the office.
- If you do not feel well, please DO NOT come!
- We will ask you to wait in your car until we let you know when we are ready for you.
- We will take your temperature before you enter the office.
- We ask that you bring no guests with you unless absolutely necessary. Guests will also have their temperature taken and will not be allowed to wait for you in the office.
- Hand sanitizer is available for your use throughout the office.
- Our waiting room will not offer magazines, books or coffee, and has limited seating to allow for social distancing.
- In an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our restrooms will be temporarily closed.
- The schedule is intentionally less full/busy per day… so… there will be fewer people in the office and seating in the reception area and clinic has been modified to allow for safe distancing.
- All team members will be screened at the start of each work day.
Common sense will rule the day for the safety of everyone- if you do not feel well or are uncomfortable going to see the dentist, we will be here when you are ready!
You will see our friendly front office smiling at you… from behind masks! We ask that you do the same. As masks are in critically short supply, please bring your own.
We appreciate your continued loyalty and are excited to plug back in to playing an integral part of the Lakeville community that we love and miss so much. Thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding as we learn what dentistry will look like in the near future!
Warm Regards,
Mackenzie Platt, D.D.S. and team
